Recipe for Date Rolls:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of dates, chopped.
- 14 of a cup of honey
- 1/4 cup unrefined butter
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 milligram of the baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup milk
Instructions:
Prepare a temperature in your oven of 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius). Mix the dates that have been chopped, the honey, the unsalted butter, the vanilla essence, and the salt in a medium saucepan. Warm the combination in a saucepan over medium heat, swirling it periodically, until the butter has dissolved and the dates have become pliable.
Take the combination away from the fire, and allow it to settle down some. Flour, baking powder, and baking soda should each be combined in their own dish before being added to the batter. After adding the date combination to the flour mixture, blend everything together until it is completely incorporated.
While combining, gradually incorporate the milk into the combination until it forms a cohesive ball of dough. The dough should be rolled out into a rectangular shape that is approximately a quarter of an inch thick. To divide the dough into pieces that are approximately 1 inch broad, you can either use a knife or a pizza cutter.
Beginning at one end of each strip of dough, shape it into a compact circle. Continue rolling it until you reach the other end of the strip. The date rolls should be placed on a baking sheet that has been coated with parchment paper, with about 1 inch of space between each roll. Bake the date cakes for 20 to 25 minutes, or until they have reached the desired color and texture.
Take the date rolls out of the oven and let them rest for a few minutes on the baking sheet before moving them to a metal stand to finish cooling thoroughly. Serve, and have fun with it!
