Worlds Best Breakfast Casserole
The following items will make up the basis of the breakfast casserole:
Ingredients
6 to 10 big eggs
cheddar cheese, shredded, between 2 and 3 cups
6 slices of stale bread, cubed into pieces measuring between 3/4 and 1 inch across
2 cups milk
Salt Pepper
Regarding the potential additions:
1 cup corn (cooked or frozen)
1/2 cup of broccoli that has been chopped (cooked or raw, raw will turn out crunchier)
a half a cup of mushroom slices
a quarter of a cup of sliced green onions
1 cup of diced ham and/or Italian sausage that has been cooked
a few pieces of bacon that have been cooked and chopped.
1 teaspoon of dried herbs
Half of a teaspoon of cumin or curry powder
Method
Prepare the oven by preheating it to 350 degrees. Prepare the bottom of the casserole:
In a large basin, give the eggs a good beating. Combine the cheese and milk in a mixing bowl.
Add the bread and toss it gently until all of the pieces of bread are wet. Be cautious not to overmix, as this might cause the bread to fall apart. Eggs and cheese for the breakfast dish should be mixed together. In order to make the egg casserole, combine the cubes of bread with the cheese and eggs.
